Shock itself is good,BUT the top mount makes noise.I changed 4 of these already and I wonder when I will find a good one.I order the 5th one.Serial number stamped on them 610000004 looks like somebody at manufacturer installed them wrong for this lot.The guys from auto 123 are very nice and will changed them for free but if you have to pay a mechanic to do it it will cost a fortune.I changed them myself and I cannot believe that they make this horrible clunking noise after few days.I regret now that I throw out the old OEM one I could use at least the top mount from old one.I talked to Monroe few times but they don't have nothing on their computers.Anyway on [...] I found somebody having the same complaint about them and he changed 8 already so I suppose I have to go to 8 maybe?

XO Vision GX1572B 15-Inch Overhead LCD Monitor with DVD Player,IR and FM Transmitter Review

The biggest challenge to a roof mount anything is the mounting - perhaps for the more advanced do-it-yourselfer, I had to go buy slightly longer, wider head 4mm mounting screws because the screw head on the provided bolts was too close to the hole size. Setting that difficulty aside because it will be the same regardless what you install, here is my review of the XO Vision GX1572B.

The unit came in a retail box packed inside a shipping box. Initially, the unit felt lightweight but I can understand you don't want anything too heavy hanging from your ceiling. Made in Hong Kong. I could not find any manual online.

There is a manual that comes with it. Some translation problems here and there but overall not too bad. Only strange thing is that it recommends you eject the DVD disc before cutting power to the unit or it could damage the disc. We followed that advie so, but forgot once or twice. No damage. It will remember where you were, if you put that same DVD back in before playing something else.

I tested the unit before mounting. It played several Zone 1 (North America) DVDs. It did not play some Star Wars DVDs I had which, when I looked, had an "A" instead of a "1" in the little square on the DVD case. Don't know why my home DVD plays them but this unit does not. However everything else (with the zone "1" mark) was fine.

There is no door over the DVD slot but rather a "brush" to keep stuff out. Seems strange, but one less moving part I guess...

Picture is bright enough. Infrared works fine for wireless headphones. If the sun is very bright it can interfere (this was rare) but pulling the drapes took care of that.

The FM transmitter works fine in case you don't want to use headphones. Just tune to 87.5 (I think that was it). I did not see any menu option to change that frequency.

The DVD drive itself sounds like it is struggling to pull the disc in or push it out. But we took a long trip where this was used at least 2 dozen times with no sign of fail, so I guess that's OK.

Biggest plus was the price for that size screen with a self contained unit. Just get 12 volts to your mount & no other cables are needed. It does have RCA input and output for audio and video in case you want to put a different source through it or if you want to run the output through an amp etc.

I give 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the things I have listed that seem a bit odd, but I have to say the unit did do as was advertised.

You will need a Dremel or a uni-bit to enlarge the factory holes so that the backing plates and carriage bolts will fit into the frame rails and be fished into place with the guide wires. My neighbor helped out. We had it installed in less than 30 minutes. Perfect fit. It tucks nice and tight to the rear bumper. Looks great!

I installed these steps on my wife's 2012 jeep liberty and they work great. The install took aboiut 2 hours, but once I got the first one on the second one went fast. I suggest using a ratchit wrench set, because some of the bolts are hard to access when tightening once the step is first placed during the install.

Curt Manufacturing 31042 Front Mount Receiver Review

I bought this to allow me to mount my winch on the front or back of my truck using the Curt Manufacturing 31010 Winch Mount Plate (also bought on Amazon). The installation was fairly straightforward and easy. I was even able to keep my bush grill on with this installed, although it did make the installation a little trickier.

This unit is bomb-proof - very robust, which I really like. I also like that it doesn't hang down too low on the front of my truck.

I'm a solar energy professional who designs and permits grid-tied solar electric systems. I purchased this small off grid poly-crystalline battery charging kit to make a simple demo of some direct PV applications like water pumping and DC fan operation, DC battery based applications like lighting and cell phone charging, and to demonstrate using an inverter for AC applications.

I also use the 50W panel as a show and tell piece to demonstrate the effects of shading on a PV panel and to answer customers questions on the technology of how modules are assembled and how they work.

The module fit and finish are nice and the overall quality and construction are similar to the larger panels I work with in the grid tied field. The 5 Amp charge controller is not a super high quality item, but I expected that and it is perfect for my demonstration purposes. Z Brackets are great for a quick and simple mount to a flat surface.

Overall, for the price this is a great little 12V battery charging kit and will serve my purposes nicely.
