Product Description

The B&M Hammer automatic shifter gives the driver a choice. Left in "Drive", the vehicle is allowed to shift like a normal automatic, but the driver can also choose to take control and get results similar to a manual. By being able to shift quickly through the gears, the driver can maximize the engine's torque curve, and improve the driving experience. It was ergonomically designed for an extremely comfortable feel, and the multi-position spoon-shaped trigger is easy to operate from a variety of grip positions. It has a full ratchet action mechanism for positive upshifts and downshifts. When shifting from Neutral or Reverse to Park, simply lift the trigger and ratchet the lever into position. It's cable operated for easy installation and precise shifting, and it is sized 13.55" long, 10.07" high, and 6.25" wide. The universal installation style is useful for applications where the vehicle does not have a factory provided console.

Received it quickly and installed the shifter complete less plastic housing. I then went to trim it and it is broken-out from the inside on the aft side that is visible. It was broken by the way it was packaged with the metal shifter inside of the plastic surround. Not really happy and not about to remove the complete assy to return.

When I first received it, I was disappointed because it came rolled up in a box, and when I took it out, it was curled up, and I was convinced it would never lay flat. The lip was also warped looking, and I was sure this was going to be a crap product. But, I put it in the back of my '04 4runner, and put a couple of boxes on top of it. By the next day, it stayed fully straight, and looked like the stock photos. It fits the vehicle perfectly, hugging the wheel well and other areas of the cargo area even better than the factory mat did.
