CURT Manufacturing 122323 Class 2 Trailer Hitch with Old-Style Ball Mount, Pin and Clip Review

Wow! This hitch was easy to install on my 2000 Ford Taurus Flex Fuel LX! Guess there's a first time for everything! I followed the instructions regarding the carbon canister stuff, but I didn't see where it was necessary on my vehicle when I was done, and just had to hood it all back up again.

The rest of the hitch installation was a snap and I was able to do it by myself, and no extra jack was necessary to hold the hitch or anything. Oh, I did have a little trouble with one of the nuts on that handle thing, but once I put it in the correct hole it was a lot easier!

It might be a good idea to look at your rubber exhaust hanger before you do the job, because it probably needs replacing and the ones at the local parts stores will work, but weren't exactly the same, and it saves a step if you replace it when you're doing the hitch. Squirt some silicone or WD-40 on it to make getting it on and off easier.

I also got the Curt Manufacturing 55375 T-Connector for this car, and that was a snap also!

Course, the time I saved here was spent fighting the installation of Munroe front end struts which don't fit this car exactly! But, that's another story!

I might note that I used to buy my trailer stuff from another online source, but I am saving at Amazon for the same great products.

purchased 4 mc692 from a local dealer to put in my 2011 dodge avenger with 2 polk db 1001 tweeters. Everything is running straight from my head unit pioneer avh-6500. This system screams!! I really dont need subs with this system. I am very pleased and everyone that hears it is blown away. the 6x9s rattle the car and have some amazing mid range sound. The tweeters have that really clean crisp high. Cant complain.

Road Wrap 18" x 100' Review

This Road Wrap works. You have to have a clean dry polished surface. I don't use the applicator. I use the wrap for long Interstate trips to car shows. You have to overlap it like you would do roof shingles so you have no front edges on top catching the wind. I use both the 6" and 18" rolls. My car chips easily and have never had a chip with Road Wrap. I don't try to make it beautiful. Bubbles don't bother me. Wish it was a little cheaper.

Timbren GMRCK25 Suspension Enhancement System Review

From other reviews of the Timbren springs, I let myself believe that I would be able to install these Timbren springs instead of replace my worn out rear leaf springs in my 1966 Chevy K1500. I was wrong, however that doesn't make this a bad product. I easily installed the rubber springs in under an hour and tested them for a few days, and found it to be very bouncy. I called Timbren and was told to remove the 1" spacer that came with the springs, which I did in about 20 minutes. This removced 50% of the bounce. Because my leaf springs are old and worn out, my truck still rests on the Timbren rubber springs, not with a 1/2" space like the Timbren manufacturer says should be there. It is now clear to me that my leaf springs should be replaced. Recently, I hooked up my camper and pulled it for a 2 hour trip each way, and my truck rode much better with the weight of the camper and related junk in the bed as I went down the highway. In the end, it turns out that these products work as inteneded, but would work better for me if my leaf spring were strong enough to keep the truck from riding on the Timbren springs all the time. So, these are truely meant to assist in carrying/towing heavier loads. Not a replacement for bad leaf springs. Unless or course, you don't mind living with a bouncy ride, which is what I may end up doing.
