D.I.D.'s 520ERV3 chain is a premium X-ring chain with the superior strength and low friction drag required for today's high horsepower motorcycles. The X-ring's four contact points greatly increase it's sealing performance. This keeps dirt, dust and mud out and retains lubrication much better than a O-ring chain. X-rings have the greatest wear resistance of any other O-ring or non O-ring chain. D.I.D.'s X-ring construction reduces friction by twisting between the chain side plates instead of being squashed like normal O-rings.

O.K. It's bike chain. What can I say ? I fitted this to a KLR650 Streetard. It runs freely, makes the bike/transmission feel smoother. Doesn't stretch/wear much. Gold finish makes it stand out. It's not cheap. But I don't belive you will find a better chain . So if you look after your chains and sprockets. It's a good investment...I recomend BEL RAY super clean chain lube. It leaves no sticky tacky mess to attract dirt/abrasives. Give it a try. It's the best I have found in 30 odd years of looking.
.However If you leave your dryed out ,dirty chain ,dragging around your hooked sprockets to cut grooves in your swingarm... Don't expect DID ERV 3 to "magicaly" survive the abuse.You may as well Just buy cheap chain , hope you don't get hurt when it lets go and locks up your back wheel!!!
