We recently acquired an 83 CJ7 - and one of my main concerns was visibility of the tail lights during bad weather. The original tail lights only have 1 small, rather dim bulb for the tail light, brake light and on the driver's side, the license plate. Not the best for the fool behind you who is not paying full attention on a foggy morning. After we installed the Rugged Ridge LED tail lights, this was no longer a concern. The installation was extremely easy and took less than a half hour and they look just like the original lights (on the outside, that is0. The tail light LEDs are VERY bright and visable. The back up lights are extremely bright as well - no one could miss those. Our mechanic was very impressed when he saw them - he had no idea that you could get replacement tail lights that looked just like the OEM. He's checking out sources for some of the other vintage vehicles that he works on to see about what is available for upgrades for them as well.

If you have an older CJ7, I'd recommend getting these tail lights. They look like OEM stock lights, but you're adding a HUGE jump in visability and safety.
