I wanted this meter for low to mid-range DC current measurements. It does appear to auto-range, but at anything less than about 10 amps DC, the reading is all over the place - it won't settle down, and the numbers are so wild I can't even take a reliable average. (Yes, I did zero it! )
At higher amperages, it seems to read OK.
