I got this unit because it can output video onto my boat monitor, while being very waterproof. Sure, it isn't the latest and greatest technology, using DVDs and DCs, but it can display output video info about mp3 tracks playing, and MAY play divx files (still need to verify). Best feature is being able to withstand marine environment, as far as I can tell so far.
