i have waited almost 3 months to write a review for this item, i wanted to have some time to use it and learn any quirks about it. honestly i would recommend one of these without hesitation. i have a 5 year old son that stays with me most of the time at my cabin and he can use it properly and easily, he had one slight problem when we first got it. the slide handle for the flush mechanism went beyond the stop and i had to really work to get everything re-aligned and put back together properly. even with that minor setback (and losing a rubber washer for the vent holes into the holding tank) it has exceeded expectations, durability is excellent, and the materials used to manufacture the unit are very easy to clean.
size wise, if you are over 6 feet tall, you might want to build a small stand for it to sit on, otherwise it's a long way down lol. but for every negative there is a positive too, because of the compact size it takes up almost no room storing it.
as for emptying it is an unpleasant task to say the least, what goes in must come out, but it does not take long to do, it is very easy and no worries about spilling. everything is sealed very tight even after 3 months nothing leaks at all so transporting to a dump station isn't nerve wracking worrying about a spill in the truck (or trunk of a car)
