The seat cover is made out of this neoprene wetsuit-like material, so it is super smooth but not exactly cloth or anything that you might expect from a seat cover. As such, the second we put the dog with dirty feet in the backseat you could see the dirt very prominently against the smooth black cover. So aesthetically, it may not be the best option for keeping the back seat LOOKING clean, but I'm confident it is protecting the underlying seat well from damage.

The cover comes in multiple pieces that attach with elastic bands and in some spots velcro directly to the seat undersides and components. FYI the components include two headrests, and left and right seat back, and a L and R seat bottom piece. While it was simple and straightforward to install, it did take more muscle and effort to get the cover pieces on taught and snug that I had expected, but I suppose this wouldn't be much of an issue if you didn't care how snug and smooth the cover was. Because of this I would not recommend this cover if you plan on washing it frequently because it can be a bit of an ordeal to put it back on.
