Product Description
All Curt hitches feature WeatherTite construction, which prevents rusting from the inside out by sealing the main body of the hitch. The receiver tube has an open back end to allow for easy cleaning and for dirt and moisture to pass through and not get trapped as is common with other brands of hitches. All Curt hitches come with mounting hardware and installation instructions. Curt is the only hitch company that mechanically de-scales all of the hitches before applying a thick powder coat finish, which is baked on for a high-gloss, smooth surface. Curt trailer hitches are simply the most attractive, most durable and toughest hitch.Curt 31057 Front Mount Receiver Hitch Review
I got a new pick-up and needed to put a front hitch receiver on it for a big winch I already had mounted on a 2" hitch tube. I had previously mounted a front hitch receiver on a 1997 Ford F-150 and I was NOT looking forward to repeating that project. Fortunately, this receiver goes on the new truck like butter on hot toast. If you can get your hands on regular and deep throat 15mm sockets you can knock at least half the time off the install. I do things by myself, so I used an ATV/motorcycle jack to raise/hold the receiver while I guided it in to place and bolted it on. Couldn't have been much easier. The receiver is made very well, nicely coated and I have zero doubt it will fill the bill for as long as I'll own the truck. PS: A front receiver will help certain people back up trailers, and I see they are now even making snow plows that will just attach via the receiver. Who woulda thought? Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Curt 31057 Front Mount Receiver Hitch" are high quality item.
