The wiring diagram for the new connector is not correct. I wired it exactly as the diagram showed and the pump ran but it was running backwards. The wires are color coded but I thought they might be for another vehicle. I rewired the new pump connector according to the wire colors and it worked. On my truck there were two black wires. The larger gauge black wire should power pump along with the gray. The two smaller gauge wires (purple and black) go to the fuel level gauge. Do not follow the wiring diagram as I did the first time. I should have known better. Other than the diagram being incorrect I believe this pump is a good value.
