Bridgestone Spitfire S11R Sport/Touring Rear Motorcycle Tire 140/90-15 Review

I've got just over 12,000 miles on my S11 140/90-15 rear tire. I was so immediately impressed with it that less than a month later I replaced a perfectly good Dunlop front with an S11 front. The front still looks like new and the rear still has a good bit of rubber left but it has worn a little flat in the middle because 98% of my riding is in a straight line to and from work every day. Maintenance probably has a lot to do with my tire life. (Most riders don't check their tires until they look flat!) I lube my chain and check tire condition and pressure every Saturday. I keep pressure set at 38 PSI cold front and rear. Ride is still good and handling is great even in the rain at that pressure. This is on a Kawasaki Vulcan 500 with a 250 pound rider. I'm going to shoot for and I think I may make it to 15,000 miles on the rear. Even if I don't make it that far I'll still buy another S-11. I've looked at reviews of other tires and always see mileage reports of 8,000 or less even for really expensive brands. That's just unacceptable in my book. This S11 has served me VERY well.
