Vega's new Trak and Trak Jr. full face Karting helmets are Snell K2010 certified and are made from a Fiberglass/Kevlar composite shell. The optically correct lock-down shield meets karting requirements and comes in four colors: Clear, Smoke, Amber and Mirror on Smoke, for that custom look. The flo-thru mouth, front and rear exhaust vents with the help of the Wick-Dri comfort fit liner will keep you cool in even the hottest weather. The Wick-Dri liner is removable, washable and is interchangeable between shell sizes for that perfect fit. The Trak is available in two solid colors and three different colors of a new universe graphic. With adult sizes X-Small through XX-Large and junior sizes Small through X-Large available, you are bound to find the perfect size. Vega Helmets was established in 1994 with the goal of offering a quality product with the most wanted features at a reasonable price. New helmets are continuously tested during the design process, and results are confirmed by internationally known independent testing labs. Helmets are currently manufactured to the following standards, depending on the model: DOT FMVSS218; ECE 22-05; SNELL CMR2007; SA 2010; K2010. Every batch of helmets is also randomly tested before leaving the factory to ensure that each batch meets the standards specified for that model. The helmet color (flat black) looks great on this helmet surprisingly. The helmet has extra thick padding on the inside which make you feel safe and comfortable. The vents work nice for getting air flow through there. Still want to leave a small crack under the windshield on hot days but that's not a knock against the helmet. My only complaint is that it's not very easy to quickly pull the visor up. There's a notch that you need to pull the visor around and then up which makes it awkward once you have the helmet on. Not a big issue, just a minor complaint that I can get used to. Overall really happy with this helmet, especially for the price.
