Infinity Reference 1600a 600-Watt, High-Performance Mono Subwoofer Amplifier (Silver/Black) Review
I just finished setting up my sub and I am very impressed. This was my first time ordering parts for a vehicle sound system.I have this amp powering an Infinity Reference 1262w 12-Inch subwoofer, which is in a Scosche SE12CC 12-Inch Enclosure. I wired the DVC as a series, and it sounds amazing!
I installed the sub and amp into the trunk of a 2009 Ford Taurus SEL which still has it's stock "audiophile" 4 speaker setup. I'll soon be replacing these with four Infinity Kappa 682.9cf speakers!
I had an audio shop install the wiring for the amp and I connected it myself once I received the amp. Everything went very smoothly, and the connectors appear to be very high quality.
Since I listen to mostly Classic Rock I generally don't like to blast loud bass, so I have the sub turned down quite a bit. Even so, I still get that good "punchy" sound when I need it.
OVERALL: First time setting up a sound system; good, solid, and easy to make connections; powers a 12-in DVC Sub wired as a series (8-ohms) easily, no issues here!
